This rooster is not just a figurine; it is a symbol of hope and resilience. In the now-famous photo of a house, destroyed by russian troops in Borodyanka, Ukraine, there is a kitchen cupboard still hanging on a bare wall, and this ceramic rooster is still sitting right on top of that cupboard. This rooster figurine was made at the "Vasylkivska majolica" plant and designed by the sculptor Prokop Bidasyuk. This magical figurine is a reminder to us all that we are stronger then we think, that we can survive the unimaginable, and that good always triumphs over evil.
This artwork is done in support of the brave Ukrainian people fighting the russian invasion that started on February 24th, 2022.
All profits will be donated to charities to help Ukrainians affected by this war. #GloryToUkraine #SlavaUkraine
