Distant mountains, leafless trees, a big, empty, snow-covered field, and the golden clouds in the evening sky. All of the things that make you stop, blink, and realize that maybe buying that new car, rushing for that 8 am meeting at work, and making sure that the kids cleaned their rooms, are not really that important. Winter solitude is not just a tiny painting, but a wonderful little reminder that we should take a break once in a while and reevaluate what is important in this life.
Part #2 of my Winter Solitude mini series.
