Our brain can play tricks on us when it comes to remembering things. Some childhood memories can be accurate, some can be selective, and some can be distorted and not really our memories at all. Things that happen, things that we imagined that happen, stories from our parents and siblings about us can become mixed together in our mind, changed, rewritten. They are still our memories, but more like fairy tales than documentaries. Bright, fuzzy, and fleeting - just like the strange colored clouds.
